In 2024 The Lodge of Friendship in Cleator Moor, Cumbria is organising an open gardens weekend for everyone to have the chance to visit stunning and different gardens of all types, sizes and styles within the province of Cumberland and Westmorland. In effect this means you can spend the weekend visiting a whole host of gardens within Cumbria, which are usually private for only one entrance donation which will allow you visit as many of the gardens as you are able and all the money raised will go the the MCF Festival fund raising effort.
Going forward the scheme will be open to any gardens to open on any dates in support of the MCF
Visit local pride and joy gardens, allotments, and patios. Organised by the Masons and open to everyone, raising funds for the MCF to help the local community and more.
If you are a keen gardener, have a plot of land from a small yard to an allotment or a inspiring garden then you can join us by opening it for the weekend for everyone to enjoy. Currently we are restrcited to Cumbria but this may change in future years
Take the opportunity over the weekend to visit gardens that are normaly private, a great chance to see what other people are up to, chat with the owners and other gardeners, have a cup of tea and a piece of cake and raise funds for a great cause
